Whoooooo, damn! This is one shiny piece of work.

*Ahem.* I've been a big fan of Moyoco Anno's for awhile, now, and I'm really into Hataraki Man right now. One thing bothers me, though--and don't spoil it if you have seen/read it all, yet, please!--Hiroko and her boyfriend Shinji have had such little time together . . . I haven't even see them HUG, yet! So, since I hadn't seen any HM fan art on here yet, I decided to do a piece.

I suppose you could make up your own story to go along with this, but I'd like to picture it as Hiroko jumping on Shinji the second she sees him, after waiting for him to show up for a date for hours in the rain without an umbrella (run-on sentence!).

I inked and colored it kinda sloppy-like (emulating Anno's work a bit), and added tones and shiny things all over in Photoshop. In a way it was also an experiment on how to draw and color wet clothing (ah, yes, fanboys, I know her white dress is practically see-through. Chill, penguins.) . . . I think I got it down, at least for the most part. Woohoo!

My only real qualm with this is that the colors seem a bit more muted in the .jpg than in the .psd . . . D:

. . . . Now if only I could work this diligently on my comic . . . . XD;;
