This is a portrait(s?) of Jared Leto from 30 Seconds to Mars. 'The Kill' has got to be one of the coolest videos ever made this year. I really liked the whole homage to The Shining and how Jared fought with himself in the hallway, so this came about. I screencapped the scene from YouTube, drew over it (just a basic black outline), and then set the screencap aside and drew the rest freehand (I may put up a progress shot or two in my scraps for the hell of it). The only big mistake I made was drawing the two Jareds first, and not the background. Even though everything had its own layer, every time I tried to draw the bg it fxxked another layer up, so I had to improvise. Makes the lighting off, I know, but I really just wanted to focus on Jared, anyway.

Scary. I knew who Jared Leto was back when he was on My So-Called Life . . . back when a lot of you DA kids were barely going into grade school o_o;

Anyway, enjoy the trippiness. I don't think I'll go back and change anything, so any critiques or nitpicking will probably be ignored. I never strive for perfection; it can give one a migraine.
