Another oldie-but-goodie (I promise more new art soon!), also done in the summer of '99. Feeding off of my L'Arc art, I went and did a drawing of the group Iceman eating lunch before a gig. I had seen backstage photos of them in these outfits in this room eating and playing with Daisuke's (the blond) dogs. The only references I used for this was their clothing, and what was on the table. I remember I had a horrible time with Daisuke's raised hand--as you can see, it's a bit out-of-proportion. I also had a problem with lighting, since I wanted it to look like sunlight was coming through the window . . . I guess I did okay. Not bad for a kid who was still getting the hang of Photoshop 5.0. (Just for the hell of it, Kenichi is standing in the back, and Michihiro is sitting with Daisuke.)
Kenichi's red/pink hair is the shiz. The swirly poster in the background is sucking out my lifeforce. The coloring is nifty. I don't think the lens flare quite cut it for the sunlit window though... Perhaps a few more highlights would have helped? Still a goodit though
